Terms and Conditions – Placing Orders

By placing an order the purchaser acknowledges acceptance and understanding of the following terms and guarantees

Product Availability

We make every effort to provide accurate information regarding our product availability. However, due to unforeseen circumstances we may run short. In the event of such an occurrence we will notify you via email. Substitutions will not be made without your approval prior to shipment. If no response is received to our email notification, the portion of your order affected will be placed on backorder or canceled.

Occasionally we may be packaging product and not yet have updated inventory. If an item shows as backordered it may simply be due to not finished with new packaging and getting inventory added to the website. When this happens all products will ship together. If this is not possible you will be notified.

Live or highly perishable items can only ship to the United States. Any orders placed for such items to be shipped outside the USA will be canceled and the charges refunded, less any processing charged incurred to collect payment.

Product Guarantee

We guarantee all products that are shipped. Should there be an issue regarding a product received, please contact us immediately so that we can make it right.

Non-Perishable Items

Any time a non-perishable item is unwanted, please contact us for approval to return, if possible. See Return Policy.

Live or Perishable Items

All live animals are conditioned for shipping and fasted, which may delay shipment of your order. Further, when weather conditions are extreme shipment may be held until we feel the fish can survive the trip. Purchaser will be notified when such conditions exist.

We will ship live fish in a styrofoam lined box and include a heat pack at no extra charge, when needed. We guarantee the fish will arrive in live condition. Should this not be the case, please contact us by emailing a photo of the dead fish in their unopened plastic bags within 2-hours of the first delivery attempt. Failure to contact us within this time will void the guarantee. All guaranteed animals who arrive deceased will be replaced if the purchaser pays for the additional shipping cost; or a credit will be issued for the item cost only….and used with the next purchase.

Ornamental Fish Medications

Purchaser agrees to not divert ornamental fish medications for use on other species. See Medication Policy for details.

Shipping and Delivery

Orders are processed as quickly as possible. Most orders will process the following business day after payment has cleared. Please see our Shipping Policy for details.
