This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Everything Aquatic collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from the users of this website. This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Everything Aquatic.
Personal and Non-Personal Identification Information
We may collect personal identification information to track our visitors, registrations, orders, etc. When appropriate this may include legal name, email address, mailing address, phone number, as well as other details required to complete any transaction. This information is required to process payment, to ship and deliver orders as well as to contact by email. Information shared with us remains within our company and is never sold or shared outside of completing orders or other transactions initiated by our customers.
Newsletters
Both registered customers and our visitors can opt to receive our newsletters. We average 1-2 newsletters each month. Newsletters may include sales notices, company information, product details, and other helpful information regarding the aquarium hobby and keeping your ornamental species healthy. Anonymous or Guest Users
We do not require accounts to shop or purchase from this website. Users may visit our website anonymously; but will be limited in the types of allowed activities. However, having an established account does have its privileges, including the following:
- Ordering with a registered account you can participate in our 3% Cash Back Program. Earnings are posted after an order has been completed. Funds are tied to your account. And must be logged in to use them. Funds cannot be cashed out as they have no monetary value off this website.
- Some accounts have access to special products or are offered special pricing.
- If needing special access to certain products, email us with your request. It will be evaluated and responded to as soon as possible, within 72 hours max. If you do not hear back from us, please do not assume we are ignoring your request. We strive to respond to all emails received. Please resend your request. Sometimes things go haywire and the emails are not received.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media
If uploading images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

The Contact form will capture your information, if logged in, and will generate an email that includes the IP for tracking purposes and to reduce spam.

Absolutely no one outside the ordering process, ie. shipping, payment processing, etc. The only time data may be shared outside of the ordering process is if compelled by law.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store personal information provided in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except the username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
