African Cichlids need a special diet to avoid digestion issues. Offering the wrong foods can lead to bloat and shorten the lifespan of your fish. One of the worst culprits to digestion issues is using land-based meats; so we have eliminated these types from our mix; and added a variety of shrimp and some insects to provide a quality protein source.
Do not use generic Cichlid Flake mix as it will often contain meat products that can lead to digestive distress with African Cichlids.
This mix is for omnivore species.
