Discus Pellet is a soft, water stable pellet formula developed specifically for discus and other cichlid species that demand both high quality nutrition and excellent palatability. Unlike hard pellets that discus frequently reject, the soft texture of this formula closely mimics the feel of natural food, making it one of the most readily accepted prepared foods available. Most discus will begin feeding on this pellet from the very first offering.

Who Are They For? Discus Pellet is an excellent staple or supplemental food for discus of all varieties as well as angelfish and other similarly sized cichlid species that can comfortably manage a 1mm or 2.5mm pellet. The high protein and fat levels at 44% and 15% respectively support the energy demands of these active and metabolically demanding fish, while the 260ppm astaxanthin and spirulina content work together to enhance and maintain the vibrant coloration that discus are prized for. Astaxanthin is particularly effective for intensifying reds, oranges, and pinks, while spirulina supports blue coloration.

Available Sizes Available in 1mm and 2.5mm pellet sizes to accommodate both standard and extra large discus.

How to Feed Feed only what can be consumed within a few minutes. Remove any uneaten portions promptly to maintain water quality.
