Description

A Powerful Dual Action Treatment for External Disorders

Forma Green combines Formaldehyde and Malachite Green into a single, effective treatment for a wide range of external disorders in freshwater aquariums and outdoor ponds. It targets ich, fungal infections, oodinium, chilodonella, tricodina, and costia, while also protecting open sores and wounds from secondary infections.

Recommended Use For best results, treat in a quarantine tank rather than your main display aquarium. Once dosed, leave the treatment in the tank or pond for 5 to 7 days. Repeat if needed based on the severity of the condition. Always follow the dosage instructions on the label.

Before You Treat Remove activated carbon from your filter before dosing, as it will absorb the medication and reduce its effectiveness. Increase aeration during treatment as Malachite Green can reduce oxygen levels in the water. Turn off aquarium lights during treatment as Malachite Green is sensitive to light exposure.

Important Safety Considerations Forma Green is not recommended for use in planted aquariums as it can be harmful to aquatic plants. Malachite Green can permanently stain silicone seals, porous rocks, and gravel, which is another reason treating in a dedicated quarantine tank is strongly advised. Use caution with sensitive species including scaleless fish, dwarf cichlids, tetras, barbs, gouramis, livebearers, catfish, and loaches. A half dose is recommended for these species.

Not Recommended For Invertebrates or planted tanks

Storage Warning Do not use if the solution appears cloudy or contains white particles. This indicates the formation of paraformaldehyde, which is highly toxic to fish. This can occur when formalin is stored below 45°F, so always store at room temperature and inspect the solution before each use.

Hi Sir, May I know what is the concentration of the formalin in this product? Thanks. Pak Kan Lam asked on March 16, 2026

Concentration is 35%. Plus the Malachite Green.

If looking for pure formalin, I will have some available in smaller bottles once it warms up and is safe to ship it. Most likely sometime in April.
