Pure powder for ornamental freshwater and saltwater aquarium use.
Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The powder is not easily water soluble and dissolves best when dampened with just a few drops of a solvent such as DMSO, vodka, or rubbing alcohol before adding to the aquarium. Dropping near the filter return helps distribute the medication through the water column rather than leaving it floating on the surface. Any powder remaining on the surface will slowly dissolve over time. Use only a few drops of solvent as excessive amounts of alcohol can harm nitrifying bacteria and destabilize the aquarium cycle. Use with caution in aquariums housing Callichthyidae or Cleridae catfish species as these families may show higher sensitivity.
