How to Use Reduce water flow before adding a stick to the tank for best results. Press the stick into the substrate or wedge into a piece of cholla wood in the lowest flow area of the tank. Stix typically last 45 to 60 minutes or longer depending on colony size and water temperature. Higher temperatures and moderate to high flow will shorten the duration. Remove the stick once shrimp stop feeding from it. For occasional treat use only as regular overfeeding can lead to nitrate issues without adequate water changes.
