Smokey Paraiba are very unique as no two will be exactly alike. Patching colors and shape will vary. Juveniles are often overlooked as they will not have their full colors until maturity.

Smokey Paraiba are very popular due to the high contrast between the black smoke pattern and the Philippine Blue Paraiba patching over a blue body.
Genetically these fish are S/S Sm/+ pb/pb
The Paraiba patching will develop into unique metallic patterns, which are often blue, copper or gold tones. No two fish are exactly alike as each will develop a different pattern and/or coloring in the patches.

| Temperament | Semi-Aggressive. Angelfish can make good community fish; however, due to their semi-aggressive nature, they need to be closely monitored...and deal with if they become too aggressive. For this reason we do not recommend angelfish for beginners. |

| Group Size | Angelfish can be kept in singles or in groups. While juveniles, they do best in groups. But once they mature, they may begin to fight for territory and for their mate.
