One Formula for Fish, Reptiles, and Amphibians
Repashy Savory Stew is a moderate protein omnivore gel formula designed for meat loving species that need animal protein as a significant part of their diet without the very high protein levels of a dedicated carnivore formula. At 35% protein with shrimp meal and squid meal as the leading ingredients, it delivers genuine palatability and nutrition for a wide range of freshwater and reptile species. Originally formulated for reptiles and amphibians, Savory Stew works equally well for omnivorous aquarium fish making it a versatile addition to any multi species household.
Who Are They For? Savory Stew is an excellent choice for aquatic turtles, African and South American cichlids, aquatic frogs, blue tongue skinks, tegus, bearded dragons, and any other omnivorous reptile, amphibian, or fish species that benefits from moderate animal protein in a convenient gel format. All protein sources in this formula are marine or plant based, making it a safe choice for African Cichlid species that need to avoid land based meat proteins. The moderate protein level and diverse ingredient profile make it a versatile staple or supplemental food across multiple animal groups.
Two Ways to Serve
As a Gel: The standard preparation method. Mix powder with water, allow to set, then cut into cubes, shred, or serve as a whole slab. Treat the finished gel as fresh food and store sealed in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to six months.
As a Jerky: Prepare the gel as normal, pour into a deep container, slice into quarter inch thick pieces, and dry completely in an oven or dehydrator at 150 degrees F for 8 to 12 hours.
How to Prepare the Gel Ratio is one part powder to three parts water, using 1/4 cup powder to 3/4 cup water as a starting point. Adjust water quantity to achieve your preferred firmness.
Microwave method: Measure water into a heat safe container. Heat until water begins to boil. Add powder and mix well. Let sit at room temperature until gelled, approximately 2 hours.
