Platinum Angels often develop a pale blue coloring in their fins with the platinum white body once mature
Platinum Angelfish are very unique. Fish have a platinum white body and pale blue fins once mature. Genetically they are g/g pb/pb. Being composed of 2 sets of recessive genes, must have 2 Platinum adults to produce Platinum angels.
Some Platinums may potentially carry a hidden Bulgarian Green gene.

| Temperament | Semi-Aggressive. Angelfish can make good community fish; however, due to their semi-aggressive nature, they need to be closely monitored...and deal with if they become too aggressive. For this reason we do not recommend angelfish for beginners. |

| Group Size | Angelfish can be kept in singles or in groups. While juveniles, they do best in groups. But once they mature, they may begin to fight for territory and for their mate. To minimize squabbles, do not house 3 together as the dominant two will pick on and potentially kill the submissive one. |
