Description
Brine Shrimp Eggs with 90% hatch rate with our premium GSL eggs. Easy to hatch in a hatchery. When feeding fry attempt to minimize the amount of shells that get into the tank as the shells are not easily digestible.
Order just the BBS eggs or our eggs/salt blend. The egg/salt blend is measured at 1/2 tablespoon per pint of water to attain the correct salinity levels; and is the very product used in our own fish room.
Unsalted brine shrimp eggs are packaged by the gram and salted brine shrimp eggs are packaged by the pound.
Hatching Instructions
*Hatch rate increases with pH. Must be above 7.0 to hatch, at 8.0 or higher will produce the best hatch rate
*Salinity should be 1.018 – 1.023 specific gravity. Use non-iodized or kosher salt as iodine will kill the eggs. 1 level Tablespoon of salt per quart of water.
*Light is recommended during the incubation period
*Ideal hatching temperature is 80-82F / 26-28C. Do not exceed 86F / 30C.
*Strong aeration is recommended for the best hatch rate
*Density of eggs should not exceed 2 grams per liter of salted water (1 teaspoon per liter).
*Incubation period: 18 – 24 hours
Use with our Brine Shrimp Hatchery, in a hatching cone or other V shaped container for the best results
