How to Feed Start with one shell per feeding and allow it to be fully consumed or cleaned up before adding another. For nano tanks or smaller colonies, consider breaking the shell into smaller pieces to avoid overfeeding. Like any food, excess amounts left uneaten can impact water quality, so always match the portion to the size of your tank and the number of inhabitants.
