Invertebrate based gel food formulated for catfish, plecos, shrimp, and other bottom dwellers.
All proteins and fats in this formula come exclusively from invertebrate sources including krill, Black Soldier Fly Larvae, mussel, and squid, with no fish meal. This makes it an ideal choice for bottom dwelling species whose natural diet consists primarily of small aquatic invertebrates. The gel holds together well on the substrate, allowing plecos, corydoras, loaches, and shrimp to graze naturally at their own pace. Also well suited for axolotls whose diet mirrors that of invertivorous fish.

Ways to Serve
As a Gel Bring water to a boil on stove, in microwave, or kettle. Pour boiling water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder at a ratio of one part powder to two to three parts water. Let cool or immediately pour into a mold. Gel will set at room temperature. Cut into cubes, slabs, or shred for feeding.
As a Jerky Prepare gel as above. Pour into a deep container and cut into quarter inch thick slices. Dry completely in oven or dehydrator at 150F/65C for 8 to 12 hours. Jerky provides a slow release feeding format ideal for grazing species.
How to Prepare the Gel Ratio is one part powder to three parts water.
Microwave: Measure water into a heat safe container. Heat until water starts to boil. Add powder and mix well. Let sit until gelled, approximately two hours.
Stovetop: Measure water into a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powder and mix well. Immediately pour into a storage container or mold and let sit at room temperature until firm. To adjust firmness use more or less water as desired.
Storage The finished gel can be cut into cubes, shredded, or used as a whole slab. Treat prepared gel as fresh food. Store sealed in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to six months. Store dry powder in a cool dry location away from moisture and direct sunlight in a sealed container.
